Meet the Veterinarians & Team of Platte Lake Veterinary Clinic in Honor! We’re pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets!

Dr. David Nelson


David was born in Evanston, IL and moved to Benzie County with his family to open the PLVC in 1991. He earned his DVM from Michigan State University, and has over 30 years of experience caring for small animals. David also owns the Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm, and has many animals (dogs, cats, alpacas, chickens, goats, and more)!

Dr. Selina Molnar


- [ ] Dr. Selina Molnar is a 2009 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Molnar and her family are recent transplants to the area, moving to a 40-acre farm in Mesick in the summer of 2019, which they share with a menagerie of critters. Dr. Molnar enjoys working with all species of animals, including some exotic pets. During her undergraduate studies, she worked at Taonga Zoo in Sydney, Australia.


Licensed Veterinary Technician

Andi was born in raised in Benzie County, and graduated from Benzie Central High School in 1998. She joined PLVC in 2001, and graduated from the MSU tech program in 2005. She is a BS LVT Certified Dental Technician. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside and spending time with friends. She has 1 dog, 3 cats and 2 horses.


Licensed Veterinary Technician

Lisa was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Cleveland, OH. She moved to Traverse City and began working at PLVC in 2004. She is a licensed and registered technician in both states. She enjoys yoga and the outdoors, and her cats!



Kallie has been a receptionist at PLVC for five years. She has always had a passion for animals and loves being able to help them. When she isn't working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her Australian Cattle Dog, Ammo.
